Prayer Request and Kaana update.

Run for Kaana and Haiti
|
Maureen
Mwagale has set up a small business with twelve mothers having
temporary stalls in the markets selling some maize and beans produce.
This programme started in January whilst I was in Kampala and is going
very well. They are saving up every day and putting some money away.
This means that these women don’t have to use their babies to beg
any more. Please pray for more mothers to join the scheme and for
further, much needed, funding. Maureen will be visiting Uganda again
April 2nd-16th and it would be wonderful for her to be able to offer
these women some extra funding.
If you would like to offer financial support to Kaana, please have a
word with Maureen at the end of the service.

Would
anyone out there like to help me organise a church fun run (or fun
walk!) in aid of Kaana and the victims of Haiti? I was thinking of
this happening at the end of April, or early May. I know there are
some keen runners amongst us! The run would kick off from church,
along the footpath to Tilgate Lakes and back again. Probably under two
hours’ worth of exercise! This is just a thought at present, but if
there was enough interest we could make it a reality. Pete Appleby

Janet’s Easter cards at Poppins
|
If
you are free to help out with making the Mothering Sunday posies,
please meet at school at 10.00am on Saturday 13th March. All the
instruction you need will be given. Your help will be greatly
appreciated!
Also, if anyone has any greenery which could be used in the posies,
please bring it with you or leave it by the front door. Thank you!

Janet
Harris will be selling her individually hand crafted Easter and other
types of greetings cards at Poppins on March 6th. Janet’s cards are
of a very high quality and you are bound to find something you like!
This will be the only opportunity to buy her cards in time for Easter.
All proceeds go to the Building Fund.

Just a reminder that Brenda Truter has many past copies of ‘Our
Daily Bread’ Bible readings, and the corresponding thought for the
day, recorded onto cassette tapes. If you, or anyone you know, would
like to make use of them, please contact Brenda on
01293 885303. Sadly they will have to be disposed of if no-one needs
them.
