APCM
Annual Parochial Church Meeting and Revision of the Electoral
Roll.
Tim, our Team Rector writes:
Our Annual Meeting this year will be on Tuesday 29 April, 8.00 pm,
at Holy Trinity Tilgate. This is the meeting at which we do some
necessary legal and financial things but also review our year as a
parish and look to the future.
We also elect our Parish Wardens, Deanery Synod
Representatives, and members of the Parochial Church Council. If
you are interested in being on the PCC, or in representing us at
Deanery Synod level, please speak to your vicar.
This is also the time when we revise our electoral roll. This
is technically the list of people entitled to vote at the APCM but
more importantly, it forms our list of members. If you are a
regular attendee at any of our churches, your name should be on
the roll. Please ask for a form and return it to the vicar or to
the parish office. It is a great help if, as well as giving your
postal address, you can add your phone number and email
address. Thank you.

New Wine 2008 ‘Kingdom Come’
Yes we are only just back from New Wine 2007 but bookings for
2008 start in October and Hilary Ward in the Parish Office has
kindly offered to coordinate bookings again. Held at the Royal
Bath & West Showground, Shepton Mallet, Somerset next years
dates are 26 July—1 August 2008. Accommodation is in your own
tent or caravan (portable shower blocks and toilets on site) . It
is possible to hire touring caravans or tents or stop at local
B&Bs (check out the website www.new-wine.org). Booking forms
are in the lounge to give extra details (no need to fill in just
add your name to the list) and a copy of a promotional DVD to
borrow. About 20 of us went from St Andrew’s this year and had a
great time—in the sun too!! Children's groups are fantastic
and worship & teaching both refreshing and challenging.
Fellowship around the gas lights late in the evening makes a good
end to each day too! Speak to Lynne Poole if you’d like further
details.
