continuing over the next couple of weeks in other parts of the
building.

22 July
Work continues apace. The ground works outside are proceeding and the
outlines of paths and the car park are appearing. The Walls behind the
dais and at the front of the cafe area now have most of their cladding,
prior to being pebble dashed.
Inside, the PA speakers have been installed, the kitchen is fitted and
flooring is down in the café. Many areas have now been painted and the
electricity is now connected.
The stained glass windows have been refitted and double glazed.

|
6th June
The scaffolding is now down and we can see our new building much more
clearly. The skylight now has a stained glass cross and the front entrance
is now fully glazed.
|

|
16th May
Most of the windows are now in and the skylight on the roof is now
complete. Work continues now to make the inside of the building ready.
The official dedication service will be on Friday 10th September at
7.00pm
|
|
| 28th March
On the outside, the roof is now fully tiled including the skylight.
Some windows on the north side of the building and the scaffolding on
that side has been removed to allow a gas main to be laid giving us a
glimpse of how the finished building will look.
Much work is now going on inside, insulation panels are being fitted and
much of the wiring and plumbing is in place.. |
|
|
| 5th March
Outwardly the building has not changed a great deal in the last month
as most work has been going on inside the building. The floor has been
poured and work has been progressing on cabling.
As of today the shelter over the section joining onto the school is
being dismantled, which would indicate that the interface to the school
is now watertight. |
|
|
| 7th February
The recent snowy weather did not make work easy for our builders but
things are now continuing once again. The roof tiling is going ahead and
the pipes for the underfloor heating system are now laid.
Work is also taking place on the section of building that joins the
existing school building.
Please pray for Richard, the Building Committee and the builders that
progress continues. |
|
|
| 7th January
Preparation work for the tiling of the roof has now taken place.
Unfortunately it appears that the weather is holding up work now. Please
pray for a quick end to the cold snap and for safety for the builders |
|
|
| 13th December
Much of the brickwork is now in place and the building is taking
shape. The roof is now largely boarded and the frame for the dormer
window is now in place, as are the stained glass windows salvaged from
the old St Andrews building.
Many thanks to the carpenters for the wooden cross they have fitted to
the roof! Very appropriate as we come to the time to celebrate the birth
of our Saviour who of course was, himself a carpenter. |
|
|
|
|
|
| 29th November
Much more of the timber frame is now in place and scaffolding has

Many thanks to all those creating a photographic record of the
construction of our new church. |

Much of the timber frame is now up and the glulam roof beams are now
in place.
A delivery of bricks has also arrived
Please pray for the project, the builders and safety on the site,
especially now the weather gets worse. |

Hilife have been working for a while on the inside of the building for a
week or so now, carrying out the necessary health and safety work prior to
demolition.
The area is now a construction site with no unauthorised entry.
The picker which will be used to nibble away at the building arrived
today and we believe that its use is imminent. It can just be seen to the
rear of the church.
As of today the stain glassed windows and the exterior cross
are still fixed. |
