The difference was the great breakfast for everyone before hand. Seeing 100 adults devour 100 croissants in minutes was worth seeing.

As we go through November, we have a few things starting up. We are starting to look at what a worshipping church looks like. This is part of a year long theme of 'Becoming an Acts 2 Church'.

Nov 11th Service will begin at 10.55am so we can hold silence at 11am.
End of holidays for some, and beginning of new holidays for others.

At CtL we are beginning something quite new in September. After a day away in July when we looked at 'Changing Gear' from Acts chapter 2, we are starting on a sermon theme... that will last until July 2008!

In September and October we'll explore what it means to be a Biblical Church.

For those wanting to know what an active, Biblical church does, here are some up and events.

1. Sept 9th church picnic in Tilgate Park with Dragon Boats, 12.30pm by the playpark
2. Sept 16th there is no gathering - do join The Fellowship at 10.30am
3. Sept 23rd we're holding a Recommissioning Sunday for all those who serve God in many ways - from serving coffee to supporting Monday Munch drop in.
4. Sept 30th is a special all age event
5. Oct 22nd we're holding a holiday club morning (free)
6. Oct 28th will be a free breakfast and special 10am (yes, 10am) gathering - a little different.

Praying over the next few weeks?
Why not pray for the Police, who do a great job in Broadfield. Pray especially for their safety. Why not pray for the local schools as they lead up to Christmas. And what about thinking of the elderly - there are a number who are quite isolated.

Simon
